Alfonso Martinez Jr. Killed in Crash on Baseline Road at Turner Road [Buckeye, AZ]

Alfonso Martinez Jr. Identified in Fatal Head-On Crash in Buckeye

 
BUCKEYE, AZ (April 28, 2023) – The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office identified 25-year-old Alfonso Martinez Jr. as the victim who died in a crash on Baseline Road on April 24.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at Turner Road around 6:30 AM. Based on a report, Martinez Jr. was driving on Baseline prior to the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he collided head-on with another vehicle. In addition, a third car also crashed into the wreck.
 
As a result, Martinez suffered severe injuries and died in the crash.
 
The woman driving the other vehicle suffered critical injuries while no one was hurt in the third car.
 
The circumstance leading up to the crash remain under investigation.
 
As of now, the sheriff’s office said they are investigating factors such as speed, impairment, and distraction.
