Lynn Camplin Arrested after Crime Spree Involving Motorists and Pedestrian in Tempe

 
TEMPE, AZ (April 28, 2023) – Officers arrested 48-year-old Lynn Camplin after he was caught ramming into cars on Priest Drive on April 23.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, a woman told police that Camplin tried to ram her car while laughing. Subsequently, Camplin drove into the parking lot of the Arizona Mills and hit a Corvette on the driver’s side.
 
After hitting the Corvette, police said Camplin took off and hit another car with two people inside. He then drove into a parking lot near 48th Street and Southern Avenue and hit a Nissan Sentra.
 
As a result, officers said the Corvette driver suffered a brain bleed.
 
Police said during the crime spree, a witness also saw Camplin erratically driving and run over a pedestrian. In addition, the suspect threw rocks at three people’s cars near 48th Street and one of the cars had damage totaling $5,000.
 
Police arrested Camplin on one count of endangerment, one count of deadly aggravated assault, one count of aggravated DUI, four counts of aggravated assault, three counts of criminal damage, and two counts of hit-and-run.
