Alexsandra Stepovyk Dies in Fatal Crash on 5 Freeway in Federal Way

 
FEDERAL WAY, WA (December 21, 2023) – Officials identified 51-year-old Alexsandra A. Stepovyk of Lakewood who died in a multi-vehicle crash on 5 Freeway on December 5.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 8:00 PM. Based on a report, Stepovyk was headed south through Federal Way when she suffered a medical emergency.
 
Subsequently, her vehicle crashed into a freeway barrier. The wreck ultimately involved two other drivers, a 53-year-old Tacoma woman and a 24-year-old East Wenatchee woman.
 
As a result, Stepovyk suffered injuries in the incident. Emergency crews took her to the hospital, where she later died.
 
Crews transported the first driver to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, while the second driver only required medical attention at the scene.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
