Alexia Rodriguez Faces DUI Charges after Fatal Accident on 215 Freeway in Murrieta

 
MURRIETA, CA (January 20, 2023) – Officers arrested 21-year-old Alexia Rodriguez of El Cajon after a fatal car accident on 215 Freeway on January 16.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision near 15 Freeway shortly before 4:00 AM. Based on a report, Rodriguez was driving a 2008 Dodge Charger in the southbound transition lane to 15 at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the vehicle went off the road. There, it struck a metal pole and burst into flames, ejecting a young male and female.
 
As a result, the victims died in the incident. In addition, a third passenger, a 15-year-old girl, died inside the car. Officials did not yet release their names, pending kin notification.
 
Rodriguez was able to get out of the car on her own with serious burns. Paramedics took her to Regional Medical Center in Colton treatment.
 
Officers arrested her arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter and felony driving under the influence of alcohol.
