Abdi Faisal Killed in Semi-Truck Accident on 40 Freeway [Carson County, TX]

Truck Driver Abdi Faisal Identified in Fatal Christmas Day Accident in Carson County

 
CARSON COUNTY, TX (December 29, 2023) – Officials identified 29-year-old Abdi Faisal of Stone Mountain, Georgia who died in a semi-truck accident on 40 Freeway on December 25.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened half a mile west of Groom around 5:20 PM. Based on a report, Faisal was driving a big rig on the freeway during the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the big rig veered off the freeway and hit the back of another 18-wheeler that was stopped on the shoulder.
 
As a result, Faisal suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
The driver of the other truck was not injured.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
