Aaron Hernandez Arrested in Fatal Car Crash in Greeley

 
GREELEY, CO (February 26, 2024) — Authorities arrested 27-year-old Aaron Hernandez after a fatal car crash on Wednesday, February 14.
 
According to the Greeley Police Department, the accident happened shortly after 8:00 a.m. near the intersection of 35th Avenue and 25th Street.
 
When police arrived at the scene, they discovered a passenger, a 68-year-old woman, with severe injuries. Paramedics then rushed her to a hospital where medical personnel pronounced her dead.
 
EMS responders also transported the 63-year-old man who drove the vehicle to the hospital with injuries. He is expected to survive.
 
Hernandez, who drove the other vehicle, stayed on the scene of the incident. Authorities arrested him on counts of careless driving resulting in injury or death and a red-light violation.
 
After that, officers brought Hernandez to a hospital for medical evaluation. Then they booked him into the Weld County Jail.
