MARSHALL, TX (August 23, 2023) – The Marshall Police Department identified 88-year-old Marlene Floyd who died in a pedestrian accident in 2600 block of East Houston Street on August 4.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened around 10:40 PM. Based on a report, the victim was on the road at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a 71-year-old driver of a vehicle hit her.
 
As a result, Floyd sustained grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
The vehicle driver stayed on the scene and cooperated with investigators. Police did not file any charges as of this report.
