Gladyce Nielsen Identified in Fatal Crash in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (March 8, 2024) – The Phoenix Police Department identified 86-year-old Gladyce Thorson Nielsen who died in a crash on 7th Street on February 27.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Thomas Road around 11:00 AM. Based on a report, three vehicles crashed near the intersection.
 
Police did not release any details but reported a dark-colored sedan with damage to its driver’s side door and a tan-colored SUV or van with front-end damage.
 
As a result, Nielsen suffered grave injuries in the crash. Emergency crews took her to the hospital, where she later died.
 
A man was also seriously hurt and taken to the hospital, where he’s in stable condition.
 
Police said impairment was not a factor.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
