Fatal Red Light Accident on Lamb Boulevard in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 18, 2024) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that an 82-year-old man died in an accident on Lamb Boulevard on June 20.
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened at Hacienda Avenue around 8:04 PM. Based on a report, the victim was driving a 2021 Kia Soul south on Lamb Boulevard before the crash.
Due to unknown reasons, he failed to stop at the posted stop sign. He entered the intersection and struck a Lexus.
As a result, the Kia driver suffered minor injuries in the incident. Emergency crews took him to Saint Rose Dominican Hospital, where he later died. The Clark County Coroner did not release his name, pending kin notification.
The driver of the Lexus, a 19-year-old man from Las Vegas, was transported to Sunrise Hospital with severe injuries.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
