Larry Flaming Identified in Fatal Crash on South 12th Avenue in Tucson

 
TUCSON, AZ (May 28, 2024) – The Tucson Police Department identified 82-year-old Larry Flaming who died in a crash on South 12th Avenue on May 12.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at West Drexel Road. Based on a report, Flaming was driving a Nissan near the intersection before the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a Buick turning left failed to yield to oncoming traffic. The vehicle then hit the victim’s car.
 
As a result, Flaming suffered life-threatening injuries in the incident. Emergency crews took him to the hospital, where he later died.
 
Emergency crews also transported the Buick driver to the hospital for precaution. Police cited her with Causing Serious Physical Injury/Death by Moving Violation.
