81-Year-Old Roberto Recio Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Palm Boulevard at West Jefferson Street [Brownsville, TX]

81-Year-Old Roberto Recio Identified in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Palm Boulevard at West Jefferson Street in Brownsville

 
BROWNSVILLE, TX (June 19, 2023) – The Brownsville Police Department identified 81-year-old Roberto Recio who was struck and killed by a vehicle on Palm Boulevard on June 13.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at West Jefferson Street around 6:14 AM. Based on a report, Recio was crossing the street at a crosswalk prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, a white Chevrolet Silverado was traveling on Palm. As the car made a left turn onto West Jefferson, it struck Recio.
 
As a result, Recio sustained grave injuries and died at a local hospital.
 
The driver of the truck remained at the scene.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
