EDINBURG, TX (June 19, 2023) – The Edinburg Police Department identified 43-year-old Andres Garza who died in a road work construction accident on 69C Freeway on June 11.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened just south of FM 490. Based on a report, Garza was a subcontractor for the DPS. He was setting up road work construction signs on the freeway at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a tow truck driver veered into the grassy median and hit him.
 
As a result, Garza was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
