81-Year-Old James Nash, 76-Year-Old Carole Martin Identified in Fatal North Zulch Crash

 
NORTH ZULCH, TX (December 8, 2022) – Police identified 81-year-old James Nash and 76-year-old Carole Martin as the victims who died in a crash on Highway 21 on December 5.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened between Farm-to-Market 2865 and Highway 39.
 
Based on a report, Nash was driving a 2014 Nissan pickup eastbound on the highway along with a 2015 Freightliner 18-wheeler. At the same time, Martin was driving a 2012 Buick SUV on the westbound lane.
 
As the Nissan was passing the 18-wheeler in a no-passing zone, it struck the Buick head-on, hit the 18-wheeler, then caught fire.
 
As a result, Nash and Martin died in the crash.
 
The 18-wheeler driver was not injured.
 
As of now, no other information is known. However, the case remains under investigation.
