Jeanette Stone Identified in Fatal Plane Crash in Cleburne

 
CLEBURNE, TX (December 8, 2022) The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified 30-year-old Jeanette Sue Stone as one of the two victims who died in a plane crash near Cleburne’s Hill College Campus on December 4.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened in the 2200 block of Nottaway Drive around 8:57 PM.
 
Based on a report, a 1962 Cessna had flown from West Virginia intending to land in Granbury. DPS officials said the plane landed at Cleburne Regional Airport to refuel and crashed shortly after taking off. Subsequently, the plane caught fire. Cleburne firefighters responded and extinguished the fire.
 
As a result, responders pronounced Stone, another person, and a dog dead at the scene.
 
Firefighters secured the scene, and DPS officials took over until FAA officials arrive. As of now, the case remains under investigation.
