Child Killed after Riverside Head-On Crash on Arlington Avenue and Stover Avenue

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (May 18, 2023) — An 8-year-old boy died and four people sustained injuries in a head-on crash on Arlington Avenue and Stover Avenue on Tuesday, May 16.
 
The crash happened took place at around 7:30 a.m. The incident involved a gray Nissan sedan and a white Honda sedan.
 
A home security video obtained by a local news source showed the driver of a Honda losing control. Then the vehicle went into the path of the Nissan resulting into the head-on collision.
 
Riverside Police said paramedics transported four people in the Nissan, a female adult and three children, to a hospital. Their injuries range from critical to serious, Riverside Police said.
 
An eight-year-old boy later succumbed to his injuries and died.
 
The man driving the Honda suffered serious injuries.
 
Footage shows the scattered debris and car parts across the roadway and into yards. Police continue to investigate whether alcohol contributed as a factor in the incident.
