78-Year-Old Juan Solis Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Edinburg

 
EDINBURG, TX (November 20, 2023) – Officials identified 78-year-old Juan Solis of Edinburg who died in a pedestrian accident in the 2000 block of E. University Drive on November 11.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened shortly before 7:30 PM. Based on a report, Solis was walking on the outside lane of University Drive at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a black Ford Expedition traveling east on the road struck him.
 
As a result, Solis suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
That vehicle’s driver stopped, provided aid to the victim, and cooperated with police.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
