Gary Beck, Fukuko Beck Hurt in Chelan DUI Crash

 
CHELAN, WA (November 22, 2024) – Authorities identified 71-year-old Gary Beck and 78-year-old Fukuko Beck, both from Wenatchee, who suffered injuries in a DUI crash on Highway 97 on November 9.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Wells Dam around 3:00 PM. Based on a report, the victims were driving southbound on the highway at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, 34-year-old Andres Perez of Bridgeport crossed the center lane from the northbound side and hit the victims’ vehicle.
 
As a result, the victims both sustained injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported them to Lake Chelan Community Hospital for treatment.
 
Troopers said Perez was drunk at the time of the collision.
 
At this point, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
