QUEEN CREEK, AZ (June 19, 2024) — A 4-year-old child sustained injuries in a multi-car accident on Hunt Highway on Wednesday, June 5.
 
The accident took place near the intersection of Hunt Highway and Power Road at the Maricopa-Pinal County border just after 11:30 a.m.
 
Multiple vehicles were part of the crash and one of them had severe damage to its back-end. An aerial video from the scene shows at least three vehicles.
 
Queen Creek Town officials said paramedics transported a 4-year-old to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
 
Police closed Hunt Highway between Lime Drive and just west of Power Road for several hours. They urged motorists to avoid the area.
 
Officials continue to investigate the crash.
