ARLINGTON, TX (December 5, 2022) – A 31-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a limo driver on Collins Street on Tuesday, November 29.

The Arlington Police Department was notified of the accident on the 3600 block of North Collins Street, near the Riverview Village shopping center around 11:00 p.m.

Initial investigation revealed that the pedestrian was walking in the right lane when the northbound limousine crashed into him. The pedestrian was wearing dark clothes at the time, police added.

Responders transported him to a nearby hospital, but was later declared dead. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office is yet to identify the victim. Next of kin will be notified soon.

The limo driver stayed at the scene. She provided aid and waited for help to arrive. At this time, there are no reports of criminal charges.

Authorities advised the public to always use sidewalks and cross roadways with traffic lights and designated crosswalks.
