19-Year-Old Steven Gonzalez Arrested after Hit-and-Run on Desierto Bello Avenue [Horizon City, TX]

13-Year-Old Struck, Seriously Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver Steven Gonzalez in Horizon City

 
HORIZON CITY, TX (April 11, 2023) – Officers arrested 19-year-old Steven Gonzalez after a hit-and-run accident in the 14000 block of Desierto Bello Avenue on March 31.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 10:19 PM. Based on a report from the Horizon City Police Department, Gonzalez was driving a Dodge Charger on the road at the time of the crash
 
Due to unknown reasons, he struck a 13-year-old boy. In addition, Gonzalez left the scene without rendering aid to the victim.
 
As a result, the boy sustained serious injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.
 
Officers later found Gonzalez and the Dodge Charger. They took him into custody for criminal charges for accident involving personal injury or death, with a $20,000 bond, according to officials.
