Motorcyclist Raul Luna Identified in Fatal Donna Accident on FM 493

 
DONNA, TX (May 1, 2023) – Officers identified 19-year-old Raul Osiel Luna of Donna as the victim who died in a motorcycle accident on FM 493 on April 17.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at Atlanta Avenue at approximately 7:20 PM.
 
Based on a report, a black 2016 Ford F-150 was traveling northbound on FM 493 prior to the crash. Due to unknown reasons, Luna, who was driving a red 2005 Harley Davidson Sportster motorcycle, made a wide right turn into the northbound lane and collided with the Ford head-on.
 
The impact ejected him off his bike.
 
As a result, Luna died at a local hospital due to grave injuries.
 
In an attempt to avoid hitting the motorcycle, the driver of the Ford traveled off the roadway but struck a utility pole and overturned. Crews transported the victim to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
