Two Women Killed, Man Injured in Head-On Car Crash on Highway 67 in Marfa

 
MARFA, TX (May 1, 2023) – The Marfa Police Department confirmed that two women died in a head-on crash on Highway 67 on April 17.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at approximately 5:45 PM.
 
Based on a report, a truck and a vehicle crashed head-on. Subsequently, the truck had gone off the road and caught fire in the incident.
 
As a result, the Marfa Volunteer Fire Department said two women in one of the vehicles died in the incident. Officials did not yet release their names, pending kin notification.
 
A passerby pulled a man out of the burning vehicle. Crews transported the victim to an El Paso hospital with internal injuries.
 
This is an ongoing investigation, and no further information is available at this time.
