Man Dead after Motorcycle Crash on Las Vegas Boulevard and Bruce Street

 
NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (April 29, 2024) — A man died in a motorcycle accident on Las Vegas Boulevard on Thursday, April 11.
 
According to the North Las Vegas Police, the crash took place at the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Bruce Street just before midnight. They said a 2016 black Honda motorcycle collided with a late 2000′s white Ford Escort.
 
The initial investigation determined that the driver of the Escort moved southbound on Las Vegas Boulevard. Then the driver attempted to turn left onto Bruce Street. At the same time, the 19-year-old rode the motorcycle northbound on Las Vegas Boulevard and approached Bruce while in a storage lane.
 
The impact ejected the rider from the motorcycle during the crash. He sustained serious injuries and medics brought him to University Medical Center for treatment where he later died. The Clark County Coroner’s Office has not yet released his identity.
 
The driver of the Escort was not hurt.
 
Traffic officers believe alcohol or speed was not a factor in the accident. However, they said the motorcyclist did not appear to have a motorcycle endorsement.
