18-Year-Old Yaritza Vasquez Killed in Accident on Verrado Way at Indian School Road [Buckeye, AZ]

Yaritza Vasquez Identified in Fatal High-Speed Accident in Buckeye

 
BUCKEYE, AZ (July 12, 2024) – The Buckeye Police Department identified 18-year-old Yaritza Vasquez who died in an accident on Verrado Way on June 20.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Indian School Road around 10:15 PM. Based on a report, a speeding Black Dodge Challenger with Vasquez as a passenger ran a stop sign on Verrado Way and Sunrise Lane.
 
The officer attempted to pull over the 18-year-old driver, but he took off speeding. A short time later, another officer saw the exact vehicle speeding near Indian School Road without headlights. It then crashed into a nearby tree.
 
As a result, Vasquez suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
Another passenger, a 15-year-old boy, and the driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
