Bicyclist Killed in Half Moon Bay Accident on Kelly Avenue, Miguel Juarez-Perez Arrested

 
HALF MOON BAY, CA (February 14, 2023) – The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office arrested 18-year-old Miguel Jose Juarez-Perez after a fatal bicycle accident in the 500 block of Kelly Avenue on February 9.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened around 3:00 PM. Based on a report, Juarez-Perez was driving a vehicle when he collided with a bicycle.
 
Deputies arrived at the scene and found the 75-year-old cyclist unconscious with life-threatening injuries.
 
Emergency crews rushed the victim to the hospital, where he later died.
 
Police arrested Juarez-Perez in connection to the crash and on suspicion of driving without a license.
