Jocelyn Cotrone Causes DUI car Crash on Highway 14 in Skamania County

 
SKAMANIA COUNTY, WA (May 15, 2023) – Troopers confirmed that 18-year-old Jocelyn B. Cotrone of Washougal is facing charges following a crash on Highway 14 on May 7.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Milepost 28 around 9:20 AM. Based on a report, Cotrone was driving a 2005 Volvo S60 eastbound on the highway at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, she lost control of the car, crossed into the oncoming lane and struck the passenger’s side of a westbound tractor-trailer. The Volvo rolled and came to rest on its top in the westbound ditch.
 
As a result, Cotrone suffered injuries in the incident. Crews took her to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver. The driver of the tank truck, 43-year-old Jason A. Shepherd of Portland, was not hurt. Both were wearing seat belts.
 
Cotrone is now facing second-degree negligent driving and illegal use of studded tires.
 
At this point, an investigation into the accident is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
