17-Year-Old Natasha Kooken Struck and Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver in Houston

 
HOUSTON, TX (February 6, 2024) – The Houston Police Department identified 17-year-old Natasha Kooken who suffered multiple injuries in a hit-and-run on Hillcroft Avenue on January 29.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Queenslock Drive around 2:00 PM. Based on a report, was crossing the street after getting off a METRO bus.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a car struck her and fled the scene.
 
As a result, Kooken sustained four fractures in the pelvic area. She also had a fractured femur among other injuries.
 
The HPD said the victim was not using a crosswalk but there was a pedestrian crossing sign right near the bus stop.
 
As of now, the officers are investigating the crash. In addition, no other details are available.
