Landon Baxley Identified in Fatal Car and Semi-Truck Accident in Van Zandt County

 
VAN ZANDT COUNTY, TX (July 17, 2023) – Officers identified 17-year-old Landon Morgan Baxley of Wills Point who died in a semi-truck accident on Highway 64 on July 3.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened about 1.5 miles north of Myrtle Springs around 5:30 PM. Based on a report, the victim was driving a 2005 Nissan Sentra on the shoulder of the highway at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, he pulled out in front of a 2019 International semi-truck and caused a crash.
 
As a result, Baxley was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
The driver of the semi-truck was not hurt in the incident.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
