15-Year-Old Anamarie Leach Identified in Fatal Single-Vehicle Crash in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (September 5, 2024) – The Phoenix Police Department identified 15-year-old Anamarie Leach who died in a rollover crash on 59th Avenue on August 17.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at McDowell Road around 4:15 AM. Based on a report, the victim was driving a car east on Encanto Boulevard at a high speed.
 
Due to unknown reasons, Leach lost control, causing the car to go off the road. The car then crashed into a fence and a tree before it rolled over.
 
As a result, Leach suffered grave injuries in the incident. When officers got to the scene of the crash, they found the victim and another teen trapped inside the car. They transported them to the hospital, where Leach died.
 
Her male passenger had non-life-threatening injuries.
