Elliot Carter Dead after Scottsdale Motorcycle Accident on Miller Road and McKellips Road
SCOTTSDALE, AZ (September 5, 2024) — 36-year-old Elliot Carter died in a motorcycle accident in Scottsdale on Saturday, August 31.
According to the Scottsdale police, the accident involving a pickup and a motorcycle occurred around 9:20 a.m. near Miller Road and McKellips Road.
Scottsdale Police said the Carter rode a motorcycle westbound on McKellips Road, approaching Miller Road. Then he ran a red light and collided with a pickup truck in the intersection.
Paramedics transported Carted to the hospital with major injuries, where he died. Meanwhile, two people inside the pickup truck were not seriously hurt.
Police said they do not consider speed and impairment as factors in the accident.
Officers closed the intersection for several hours in all directions as crews cleared the crash site. They reopened all closed at about 1:00 p.m.
