13-Year-Old JD Gamino Identified in Fatal Phoenix Hit-and-Run

 
PHOENIX, AZ (August 8, 2023) – Officials identified 13-year-old JD Gamino of Glendale who died in a rear-end crash on Bell Road on July 28.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at 7th Street just before 3:00 AM. Based on a report, the victim’s family was taking the teen to the pharmacy after he was stung by a scorpion.
 
Due to unknown circumstances, another vehicle rear-ended their car.
 
As a result, Gamino suffered grave injuries and died at the hospital.
 
Officers said the driver of the other vehicle fled the scene. They encouraged anyone with information to contact 480-WITNESS.
