Carlos Balandran Identified in Fatal El Paso Crash on Eastlake Boulevard

 
EL PASO, TX (August 8, 2023) – The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office identified 28-year-old Carlos Balandran who died in a crash on Eastlake Boulevard on July 30.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Rojas Drive around 6:06 AM. Based on a report, Balandran was driving a Ford Focus north on Eastlake Boulevard behind another car.
 
Due to unknown reasons, Balandran failed to control his speed and struck the other car from behind, damaging both vehicles.
 
As a result, Balandran sustained severe head injury and died at a local hospital.
 
The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
