12-Year-Old Girl Dies in El Paso Pedestrian Accident on Highway 375

 
EL PASO, TX (December 13, 2022) — A 12-year-old girl died while a mother suffered injuries after being struck by a vehicle in a pedestrian crash on Highway 375 on Saturday, November 26.

The fatal collision occurred near Ascarate Park at around 6:00 p.m., according to the El Paso Police.

Authorities said the girl and her 27-year-old mother walked across the highway along with a group of other pedestrians when a pickup crashed into the two female victims.

The force of the impact inflicted fatal injuries to the girl.

Respondents then transported the mother to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause and circumstances behind the accident remain under investigation. Officials are also looking to determine the factors surrounding the crash.
