Baby Zaveena Houston Dies in DUI Crash in Fort Worth

 
FORT WORTH, TX (May 17, 2023) – The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified 10-month-old Zaveena Houston who died in a crash in the 7300 block of South Hulen Street on May 15.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 12:30 AM. Based on a report, the driver, 28-yer-old Janelle Leadley, was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, she crashed her vehicle into a tree.
 
As a result, Houston suffered grave injuries and died at the hospital.
 
At least three other people suffered injuries in the incident.
 
Police arrested and booked Leadley on suspicion of intoxicated manslaughter with a vehicle and intoxicated assault with a vehicle in which there is a serious bodily injury.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
