Giorgia Trocciola Struck and Killed by Vehicle in Colorado Springs

 
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (March 27, 2023) – The El Paso County Coroner’s Office identified 17-year-old Giorgia Trocciola as the victim who died in a pedestrian accident on Barnes Road on March 22.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the collision happened outside Doherty High School at Austin Bluffs Parkway around 7:30 AM.
 
Based on a report, Trocciola was a foreign exchange student from Italy. She was also a three-sport athlete at the school. She was crossing the street near the school parking lot when a Jeep struck her.
 
As a result, Trocciola died in the incident.
 
The driver of the Jeep stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
 
As of now, an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
