Teenager Dies after South Los Angeles Car Crash into Liquor Store

 
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (November 29, 2022) – A 15-year-old boy died after a vehicle crashed into a liquor store on West 54th Street on Sunday, November 27.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the accident took place around 4:00 a.m. near the 1300 block of 54th Street. Preliminary reports revealed that the driver tried to make a turn on 54th Street before crashing into the store.

After the vehicle struck the building, a fire broke out. The flames began from the first-floor of the building and into the attic.

After 34 firefighters stopped the fire, a teenager’s body was found inside the vehicle. Medical personnel took him to a hospital where he later died.

Authorities stated that there was another passenger in the vehicle who managed to escape. Their condition remains unknown.

The investigation continues.
