Driver Dies, Passenger Injured in Car Crash on San Felipe Road

 
SAN JOSE, CA (November 29, 2022) – A 22-year-old driver died while a 24-year-old passenger sustained injuries when a car veered off the roadway on San Felipe Road on Saturday, November 26.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident took place around 3:40 p.m. near Metcalf Road. Initial investigation revealed that a 2023 Tesla veered off the roadway and crashed into two trees before coming to a rest on its wheels. Authorities believe the Tesla was driving above the normal speed limit before the crash.

The male driver was ejected from the vehicle before dying at the scene, police said.

His passenger was taken to a hospital after sustaining injuries.

Police did not release any additional information at this time. However, the accident remains under investigation.
