Drugs Suspected in Richland Accident Involving Pedestrian Guillermo Sanchez on 182 Freeway

 
RICHLAND, WA (November 1, 2022) – Police identified 28-year-old Guillermo Neponuceno Sanchez of Moses Lake as the victim in a pedestrian accident on 182 Freeway on October 29.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, Sanchez is now in critical condition following the collision that happened just before midnight.
 
Based on a report, the victim was trying to cross the freeway at the time of the incident. He was part of the way across the highway when a Honda Civic driven by 20-year-old Esthefania Zuno Cruz of Pasco hit him.
 
As a result, he suffered major injuries and was brought to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland.
 
Police said the victim appeared to be high on drugs at the time of the crash.
 
As of now, Cruz is not facing any charges in connection with the crash. In addition, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
