Camdan McWright Dies After Accident with School Bus on 10th Street and Reed Street

 
SAN JOSE, CA (October 25, 2022) — San Jose State running back Camdan McWright died following a school bus crash on S. 10th Street and Reed Street on Friday morning, October 21.

The fatal collision occurred two blocks away from the San Jose State University campus, according to authorities.

Based on witness testimonies, 18-year-old McWright rode an electric scooter when he collided with a school bus, which entered the intersection at a green light.

The force of impact caused fatal injuries to McWright. However, it was unclear if he died at the scene or at a hospital.

The bus driver and 14 students on board emerged from the incident uninjured.

The accident happened hours before the scheduled flight of the San Jose State football team to New Mexico State for a match on Saturday.

The crash is still under investigation. However, no other information is made available at this time.
