David Jimenez Dead in Olton Two-Vehicle Accident

 
OLTON, TX (March 3, 2025) — 67-year-old David Diaz Jimenez, of Hart, Texas, died in a two-vehicle accident on Saturday, February 15.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred on Highway 70 near County Road 291 at around 4:48 a.m.
 
Texas DPS said Jimenez drove a 2002 Ford Ranger westbound on Highway 70. Then his vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane. After that, it crashed with a 2006 Toyota Sienna, front left to front left.
 
Emergency responders brought Jimenez to University Medical Center in Lubbock. He later died from his injuries.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics also brought the driver of the Toyota Sienna to the hospital with minor injuries. They identified him as a 15-year-old male from Earth, Texas.
 
Paramedics also evaluated a passenger in the Toyota at the scene. He was not hurt in the collision. Officials identified him as 20-year-old Alejandro Cacao, of Earth, Texas.
 
Both drivers wore their seatbelts when the crash occurred.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the accident.
