LATHROP, CA (March 3, 2025) – At least one person was injured following a parked trailer crash on Interstate 5 on Tuesday, February 25.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened around 11:50 p.m., north of Louise Avenue.
 
Initial investigation reported that a Mazda was heading north on I-5 when it veered east and crashed through a perimeter fence before hitting a parked food vendor trailer.
 
The impact of the crash caused the trailer to hit two additional food vendor trailers.
 
The 24-year-old driver and 23-year-old passenger suffered minor injuries from the incident.
 
Investigation into the crash remains open and active.
