Wesley Wrinkles Dies, Woman Suffers Injuries After Merced County Motorcycle Crash on Highway 99

 
MERCED COUNTY, CA (February 26, 2025) – Wesley Wrinkles died while a woman sustained injuries following a motorcycle crash on Highway 99 early Friday, February 21.

The fatal incident occurred after midnight south of Mission Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Officials stated that a Honda sports bike being driven by 49-year-old Wrinkles, who had a woman on board, had headed north on 99.

For reasons still undetermined, the Honda drifted off the roadway before slamming into the center median barrier.

The force of impact caused both the riders of the Honda to be ejected.

Wrinkles died at the scene.

Meanwhile, the female passenger survived but suffered major injuries, prompting respondents to conduct a medical transport to Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.

Authorities are still working on determining the cause and circumstances behind the accident.
