Jesus Robles Jr. Arrested, Cyclist Dead in Las Vegas DUI Crash

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (February 26, 2025) — Authorities arrested 49-year-old Jesus Robles Jr. after a DUI accident on Friday, February 21.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the crash occurred around 2:19 p.m. near Jones Boulevard and Elkhorn Road.
 
The LVMPD said the 62-year-old male cyclist rode his E-bike northbound in a marked bike lane. Then a black 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Robles Jr. veered off its lane. After that, the Chevrolet entered the bicycle lane and struck the cyclist.
 
Emergency responders transported the injured cyclist to University Medical Center Trauma Center. Despite life-saving efforts, he still succumbed to his injuries and died.
 
Robles Jr. remained at the scene. Police said he showed signs of impairment. They arrested and then booked him into the Clark County Detention Center.
 
Officials confirmed this marks the 29th traffic-related fatality in the LVMPD’s jurisdiction for 2025.
 
The LVMPD Collision Investigation Section continues to investigate the incident.
