LAS VEGAS, NV (February 26, 2025) — Two people suffered injuries following a bus accident on Sunday, February 23.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident occurred around 8:20 p.m. near Rainbow Boulevard and Westcliff Drive.
 
The LVMPD said a driver suspected of impairment struck another vehicle. The impact caused it to collide with a paratransit bus. In addition, it also sent the suspected impaired driver’s vehicle spinning into a power box.
 
Emergency crews transported the suspected impaired driver and a passenger from one of the other vehicles to a hospital. The extent of their injuries is not immediately available.
 
Following the crash, officers closed Rainbow Boulevard in both directions at Westcliff Drive, according to RTC Southern Nevada.
 
The investigation of the incident is still underway.
