Ryanul Haque Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash in Westley

 
WESTLEY, CA (August 18, 2022)Ryanul Haque died after a vehicle rear-ended his disabled car on Interstate 5 on early Thursday morning, August 4.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash took place on southbound I-5 just north of the Ingram Creek Road interchange.

The collision involved two vehicles: a 2007 Lexus ES 350, operated by Haque, and a 2020 Freightliner Cascadia.

Authorities said that they received a report at around 1:15 a.m. about a disabled car in the right-hand lane of the freeway. Another report then came 10 minutes later indicating that the idled vehicle had been struck by a semi-truck.

Officers arrived at the scene and discovered that the Lexus received major damage on its rear end. The Freightliner Cascadia was also found in the area with damage to its right front portion.

Officers pronounced the 26-year-old Haque dead at the scene. Investigation indicated that he had a seatbelt on during the time of the collision.

Meanwhile, the Freightliner driver was uninjured.

However, no further information is available at this time as investigation continues.
