Omar Ramirez Dead after Mentone Head-On Accident on County Road 300

 
MENTONE, TX (December 12, 2024) — A 33-year-old Odessa man, Omar David Ramirez, died in a head-on accident on Monday, December 2.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred on County Road 300 near mile marker 1 at around 3:20 p.m.
 
Texas DPS said Ramirez drove a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on County Road 300. Then he crossed the northbound lane and crashed into a 2003 Peterbilt 378 driven by 30-year-old Aldoray Vaughn Davis, of Odessa.
 
Judge Medlin pronounced Ramirez dead at the scene. Meanwhile, Davis did not sustain any injuries.
 
Trooper Villafranca of the Texas Highway Patrol in Pecos leads the ongoing investigation of the incident.
