Kuaterria Bailey Arrested after Fatal DUI Accident on Gulf Freeway

 
HOUSTON, TX (November 9, 2023) — Authorities arrested 45-year-old Kuaterria Tremayne Bailey after a fatal DUI crash on Thursday, November 2.
 
According to the Houston Police Department, the accident happened around 1 a.m. on the northbound feeder road of the Gulf Freeway at College Avenue.
 
Police said the woman was in her vehicle that stopped at a red light waiting to turn left. Then Bailey crashed into the back of her vehicle.
 
The woman died at the scene. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences has not yet released her identity pending verification.
 
Paramedics transported Bailey to the hospital, where he remained on Friday.
 
Police said they discovered Bailey was under the influence when the crash happened. They charged him with intoxication manslaughter and possession of a controlled substance.
 
Authorities brought him to the Harris County Jail once he was medically cleared.
