Chelan County Sheriff’s SUV Involved in Car Accident, Sandra Brown and Douglas Brown Hurt

 
CHELAN COUNTY, WA (June 8, 2023) – Officers identified 70-year-old Douglas Brown and 69-year-old Sandra Brown of Murphy who suffered injuries in a crash on Highway 97 on June 3.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near Blewett Pass around 3:36 PM. Based on a report, the Browns were driving a 2023 Nissan Sentra southbound on the highway prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, 44-year-old Chelan County Sheriff’s Deputy David Flick parked his patrol-issued 2021 Ford Explorer on the right shoulder of MP 174, in order to investigate a collision involving 24-year-old Mohammad Najaar from Everett.
 
Due to unknown reasons, Brown struck the Sheriff’s SUV and Najaar’s Civic.
 
As a result, Douglas and Sandra sustained injuries in the incident. Crews transported them to Cascade Medical Center for treatment.
 
Deputy Flick and Najaar were not hurt.
