Bradley Nevil, Sheri Nevil and Patrick Scrivener Killed in Crash on Highway 287 [Childress, TX]

Patrick Scrivener, Sheri Nevil and Bradley Nevil Identified in Fatal Childress Car Accident

 
CHILDRESS, TX (June 8, 2023) – Officials identified 68-year-old Bradley Nevil, 61-year-old Sheri Nevil and 54-year-old Patrick Scrivener who died in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 287 on June 1.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened around 1:00 AM. Based on a report, the Nevils were in a 2019 Subaru Ascent. Behind them was a 2016 Mack truck towing a semi-trailer on the northwest of the highway.
 
At the same time, Scrivener was driving a 2016 Ford Escape behind the Nevils. In addition, 47-year-old Vicente Barcenas was driving a 2013 Kenworth truck towing a semi-trailer northwest on the highway.
 
As Barcenas approached the slow moving traffic, he failed to control speed and struck Scrivener’s car, causing a chain reaction. Scrivener’s and the Nevils’ cars became wedged between the two semis.
 
As a result, Scrivener and the Nevils suffered grave injuries and died in the incident.
 
Barcenas was transported to Childress Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
