Timothy Luckett Dead in Motorized Scooter Accident in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (May 18, 2023) — A man identified as 67-year-old Timothy Luckett of Las Vegas died days after a scooter-car crash on Wednesday, May 10.
 
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the accident happened at around 4:18 p.m. at Washington Avenue and J Street.
 
Luckett rode a motorized scooter westbound on Washington Avenue. He was on the sidewalk and switched to the travel lane when there was an obstruction on the sidewalk. As he entered the roadway from the sidewalk, he struck the right bumper of a Nissan Versa traveling westbound on Washington Avenue.
 
The impact ejected Luckett and he suffered critical injuries. Paramedics transported him to the University Medical Center.
 
On Wednesday, May 15, Luckett succumbed to his injuries and died.
 
Police did not report if the 47-year-old Los Angeles woman driving the Nissan was under impairment or speeding.
 
The crash is still under investigation.
